lost lost and found lost in light lost in sound silence most profound if i give up will you come 'round? gone like a sin from the east to the west here like a child at his mother's warm breast found at the place where the salt meets the sky lost in my own will, lost in my mind lost lost and found burned by light deaf to sound grace o untouched thing my clenched hands denied my vanity gone like a man with a mark on his brow here like an angel to my ishmael found at the sound of a jealous decree lost in my hopeless abandon of thee

The Heretic 03:33
when the second amendment became a religion and the faithful marched in the sun the procession was grand with banners and fans see the righteous had finally won and they brought all the heretics forward protesters and reporters to be shot in the head on an altar of lead by a good guy with a gun don't tell me i already know i'll leave here after the show shake the dust off my shoes its my fight to lose hallelujah its burning down the president took the high place and the citizens took a knee and some of the christians made a decision to clarify their beliefs see jesus had a good run but he couldn't keep his mouth shut so they stopped pretending and started the winning cause sometimes enough's enough don't tell me i already know i'll leave here after the show shake the dust off my shoes its my life to lose hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah

about

Recorded at home while working on the full length studio album "The Last War". All these songs are deeply personal and exploratory. They stretched me both lyrically and musically. There is a purposeful arc to the order of the songs, but I tried to rely on instinct for what the arc is. Its still revealing itself to me, which is a very satisfying feeling. I hope these songs bring some life, some help, some fire, or, if needed, some discomfort. Perhaps they are meant to 'comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable' as Finley Peter Dunne once said and many after that have quoted. More than anything I hope its honest. I hope I told the truth.
